All People Need Jesus

“Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:8-11 NKJV
The angels appeared to shepherds—the lowliest group of people at that time. Yet the Son of God, God Himself, was presented to them.
Think about it like this: think of people who, in your opinion, you believe maybe can’t be saved or redeemed by God. I know I’ve had those thoughts before. The group of people you’re thinking of don’t deserve to be saved or redeemed—but neither do you.
We find in the Bible, Romans 3:23, that we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. You’re right—those people don’t deserve salvation, but neither do you.
Now read the verses above again. Did you notice the angel say, “I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people”? The angel said all people—you, me, and whoever you were thinking of. Jesus came for everyone.
Let that be your prayer today. Pray for whoever you were thinking about. Let God change your heart. Be a vessel that God can use to bring all people to Christ.
