Scripture: Luke 10:40

“But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made.”

Martha wasn’t distracted by sin—she was distracted by service. The danger isn’t always bad things pulling us away from God, but good things replacing Him.

There are subtle lies we believe:

• Are you prepared enough?

• Is everything perfect?

• This doesn’t look productive.

Even ministry can become a distraction when it pulls us away from intimacy.

What “good things” might be crowding out the best thing in your life?

Lord, reveal where I’ve allowed good intentions to replace deep communion with You.
