Faithfulness in the Small Things
Share
Scripture: Luke 16:10
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much…”
Focus: God values faithfulness more than prominence.
Devotional:
Many people want the big assignment, the big platform, or the big opportunity. But God often develops His people in the small things before entrusting them with greater things.
Before David led a nation, he faithfully watched sheep.
Before Joseph ruled in Egypt, he faithfully served as a slave and a prisoner.
Before the disciples preached to thousands, they learned to faithfully follow Jesus one day at a time.
We often focus on what God has not given us yet, while God is looking at what we are doing with what He has already given us.
Faithfulness isn’t glamorous. It’s showing up when no one notices.
It’s obeying when no one is watching.
It’s serving without needing recognition.
The kingdom of God is built by ordinary people doing ordinary things with extraordinary faithfulness.
Don’t despise the season you’re in. The small things may be preparing you for something greater than you realize.
Reflection Question:
What small responsibility has God placed in front of me that I need to steward more faithfully?
Prayer:
Father, help me be faithful in the small things. Teach me to serve You wholeheartedly whether my assignment is seen by many or by few.
