Guard Your Focus

Scripture: Proverbs 3:1

“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart.”

Reflection:

The easiest way to forget something isn’t a lack of intelligence—it’s a cluttered mind. Life constantly throws noise at us: social media, entertainment, stress, comparison. When your mind is full of everything else, it leaves little room for God’s voice.

Clutter leads to distraction, and distraction leads to forgetting.

God’s instruction is simple: don’t forget. That means we must be intentional about what we allow into our minds.

Application:

  • Take inventory: What are you watching, listening to, and reading?
  • Remove one distraction today that pulls your focus from God
  • Spend intentional time in God’s Word to reset your mind
