Scripture: Colossians 3:3

“For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.”

Focus: Your identity is secure in Christ.

Devotional:
One reason so many people struggle with identity is because they build it on things that can be taken away.

A job can be lost.
Money can disappear.
Relationships can change.
Health can fade.
Popularity can vanish overnight.

If your identity is built on temporary things, your sense of worth will rise and fall with them.

But Paul tells believers something remarkable: your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Think about that. Your identity is not stored in your bank account, your career, your appearance, or the opinions of others. It is securely hidden in Christ Himself.

When storms come, you don’t have to panic and ask, “Who am I now?” because your identity hasn’t changed. You are still God’s child. You are still chosen. You are still loved. You are still accepted through Jesus.

The enemy wants you to find your identity in what you do. God wants you to find your identity in who He says you are.

Security comes when you stop asking the world to tell you who you are and start believing what God has already declared.

Reflection Question:
What temporary thing am I tempted to build my identity on?

Prayer:
Jesus, help me find my security in You alone. When everything around me changes, remind me that my identity remains secure in Christ.
