Tell Your Testimony

John 1:6-7 (NLT)
“God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.”
Questions:
Who was John the Baptist?
John the Baptist was a prophetic messenger sent by God to prepare the world for Jesus. He preached repentance and prepared the way for Jesus (the Light) to begin His ministry on earth.
What is a testimony?
A testimony is a personal story of how God has worked in and through your life. It is you being a witness to what God has done and sharing it with others.
Truths:
God has called us to be like John—to tell others about the Light, who is Jesus. We are to speak about the One who changes lives and sets people free from bondage.
When you truly believe in Jesus and what He did, you will encounter God. He sends the Holy Spirit to help you live a life that pleases Him. He changes you from sin and death to life and purpose in Jesus. This transformation becomes your testimony to share, so that others can experience it as well.
A Personal Story:
For me, God has changed every aspect of my life. I have a beautiful life that is such a blessing, and I want others to experience the same. I don’t want people to stay trapped in depression or anxiety—I want them to live an amazing, purpose-filled life through Jesus Christ.
Application:
If Jesus changed your life, you have a testimony to tell—a testimony that can lead others to the One who changed you. Then they too will have a testimony. Go and do what God has called us to do!
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank You for today. I thank You for everything You’ve done. I come to Your throne room and ask for a fresh sense of grace over my life so I can be a bold witness for You and share the testimony of how You changed me. Lead me in all Your ways. God, I love You and I praise You. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray, amen.
