The Faithfulness of God in Every Season

Scripture: Joshua 21:45
“Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”
Focus:
God’s faithfulness is the foundation of our confidence.
Devotional
If there’s one truth that echoes throughout the entire Bible, it’s this:
God always keeps His promises.
From the promise to Abraham that he would become the father of many nations, to the promise of a coming Messiah fulfilled in Jesus, God has never failed to accomplish what He has spoken.
The challenge is that God’s promises are rarely fulfilled according to our timetable.
Abraham waited years for Isaac.
Joseph waited years before seeing God’s purpose for his suffering.
Israel waited centuries for the promised Savior.
Waiting can make us question whether God is still working. But God’s delays are never evidence of God’s unfaithfulness. Often, they are evidence that He is preparing something greater than we can see.
Maybe you’re waiting today.
Waiting for direction.
Waiting for healing.
Waiting for restoration.
Waiting for a door to open.
Remember this: God’s character has not changed.
He is just as faithful today as He was throughout all of Scripture.
If He has made a promise, you can trust Him—even when the waiting is longer than you expected.
Reflection Question
What promise of God do I need to hold onto instead of giving in to discouragement?
Prayer
Father, thank You for being perfectly faithful. When I grow impatient or discouraged, remind me of Your unchanging character. Help me trust that You are always working, even when I cannot yet see the outcome.
