Walking by Faith, Not by Sight
Share
Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Focus:
Faith trusts God even when the path isn’t clear.
Devotional
Faith isn’t just believing that God exists. Faith is choosing to trust Him when you can’t see what He’s doing.
It’s easy to trust God when the prayers are answered, the doors are opening, and life is going according to plan. But true faith is revealed when the future is uncertain.
Think about Abraham. God called him to leave his home without telling him exactly where he was going. Abraham didn’t have the whole map—he simply had God’s promise.
The same is true for us.
God rarely shows us the entire journey. Instead, He gives us enough light for the next step.
If He showed us everything ahead, we might trust the plan more than we trust Him. But God desires a relationship built on dependence.
Walking by faith means obeying even when you don’t understand.
It means trusting God’s character when you can’t trace His hand.
It means believing His promises are true, even when your circumstances suggest otherwise.
Faith doesn’t eliminate questions, but it gives us confidence in the One who has the answers.
Today, you may not know what tomorrow holds—but you know the God who holds tomorrow.
Reflection Question
What is one area of my life where God is asking me to trust Him instead of relying on what I can see?
Prayer
Father, teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. When I don’t understand Your plan, help me trust Your heart. Give me the courage to obey You one step at a time, knowing that You are always faithful.
