Putting Jesus first is the key to unlocking His power—the power to go out and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”). The practice of opening your Bible, praying without ceasing, and worshipping is never in vain (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”). These actions lead you into a supernatural spiritual revelation (Jeremiah 33:3: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”).

 

This revelation aligns your mind with the Spirit of God, allowing your thoughts to align with His thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”). As a result, the perfect will of God will flourish in your life (Romans 12:2: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”).

 

You will begin to act, speak, and think in the same way Jesus did, under the leading of the Holy Spirit (Philippians 2:5: “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.”). However, this transformation can only happen if you put God first (Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”).
