SAY YES TO JESUS

I have an important question to ask you: if you were to die today, how positive are you that you would go to heaven? Evaluate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10.

If you picked anything but a ten, you are uncertain if heaven is your home. Ask yourself right now, "Why am I uncertain?" Maybe you're uncertain because you don’t know if you’re a good enough person. Perhaps it’s because you don’t feel like you know enough about Christianity. The reasons for uncertainty are endless.

The reason I’m asking this is because the Bible gives clear instructions on how to receive salvation and assurance of heaven. It’s not based on your works, and it’s not about how much knowledge you have. It’s actually much simpler than you might think.

Romans 10:9 provides the simple definition of how to be saved and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that heaven is your home:

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Notice how it says “you will be saved”—not “you might be saved.” It’s as simple as that. Salvation is not based on how good we are because the Bible states,

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

It’s also not about how much you know. Salvation is a matter of faith: believing in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and rose again and confessing Him as your Lord. When you take that step of faith, you can have complete assurance that heaven is your eternal home.

So, if you’re ready to make that decision today, why wait? Surrender your heart to Jesus, and let Him transform your life.

Lord Jesus,

I admit that I am a sinner and that I need Your forgiveness. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again so I could have eternal life. I surrender my heart to You and confess You as my Lord and Savior.

Please come into my life, forgive my sins, and help me to live for You from this day forward. Thank You for Your grace, Your love, and the gift of salvation.

In Jesus name, I pray,
Amen.
